A moment for day 3

Today, we made it to Nebraska and our second campsite (Cody Park)! I don’t have any pictures of the site I am at because it is actually quite public and I don’t want to make people uncomfortable by taking pictures. There seems to be an animal santurary that adjoins the campsite and I am pretty certain it has some reindeer of sorts and they are very good at yelling. I will see if I can snatch some photos tomorrow morning before I head out. For now, here is a picture of the sunrise while we were still in Wyoming.

I started this morning with the same yerba mate routine as yesterday, but I was not quite as concentrated on the ritual this morning. You see… I had forgotten to bring a pillow and we were running out of litter very quickly so… I decided to do a wee bit of online shopping at a walmart that was along our route for today. It was super simple to do the curbside pickup thing and we were on our way! Now, I have a pillow and Tiki can keep on pooping!

I also did some yoga and stretched this morning. I have a post in the works strickly about my experience the tree pose. I also listened to a recording of the Rabbi I mentioned in the “about” section of this blog. I am trying to figure out what the connection part of me is all about. Right now, I am not sure if I feel connected to some infinite being or the universe or to the dirt or to the fact that I am so cosmically small. Maybe it is okay to be unsure or connected to more than one idea/thing…I will get back to you on this.

Oh big news! I figured out how to use cruise control on my car. This has been an amazing improvement to my mileage as I am definetly a bit of a jerky driver. Yay for driver’s manuals!

I have been reading a book titled “ Happy Hour” by Marlowe Granados. It is written as a series of diary entries by this 21 year old girl. She chronicles her and her best friends escapades during a summer in New York, but it is interwoven with this really insightful moments of epiphany. I am by no means writing anything like she is, but I do think it is giving me some extra motivation to just write down what is happening and to let the interwoven thoughts come as they may.

This has defintely not been a very poingant post, but it will suffice as a record of my day and the fact I am still alive.
