A Moment for Day 2

I woke up at around 5:15 this morning because Tikvah is having some GI issues and having really smelling poops (enough to wake you up from deep sleep). I am keeping an eye on her, but she seems okay, still eating and playing. She has tried to kill approximately 6 chipmunks today which is not very awesome… she wants so badly to become a bioturbator, but alas the leash and harness think otherwise.
I started my morning by making some hot water and drinking the yerba mate that Lauren and I bought last summer at the Golden farmers market. I enjoyed how laborious this was. I was unable to do anything else with my hands. I could not read, I could not crochet, I could not scroll. All I could do was hold the cup and sip through the accompanying straw. Since you can only pour so much water at a time, it also took around 45 minutes for me to heat the water and drink the tea. This is not something I would ever think I had the time for back home. Sometimes I would make myself a cup of green tea, but that would only take around 10 minutes from start to finish.
I also made a point to try and start my morning without any entertainment. I just listened to the world around me. I was so focused on the landscape in front of me that it took a bug flying in my face for me to turn to my right. To my surprise… this is what I was met with.

These ladies were very nice, but a little alarming and scared the crap out of Tiki. She is not a fan of how big they are. I did some morning yoga which was mostly comprised of intuitional movement and some sun salutation flows. This was cut short my Tikvah launching off my back only to clothesline herself trying to catch her first aforementioned chipmunk. We are working on it…I journaled a bit about bunny rabbits and stretched while listening to a podcast…maybe 2 podcasts. It got really windy and we are expecting severe thunderstorms, so I packed up our gear and we have been chilling in the car for the last few hours. May have to eat some trail mix for dinner if it is as bad as the weather app says.
Tomorrow, I want to leave around 11 for our next destination in Nebraska.
Talk to you later!
